Nate has been a deadbeat dad; his ex-wife once sued him for back child support.

Amanda co-chaired with Nate the Coalition for a Just Cincinnati after it helped dissolve Stonewall Cincinnati and before it fell apart itself (this after folks like Linda Newman and Lon Coleman bailed to start Cincinnati Progressive Action).

Once upon a time Amanda romanticized that she and Nate would take over the long-defunct African American Political Caucus. Guess not now.

Oh well. As Laketa Cole once said of Nate (paraphrasing): "Amanda was good in the beginning but then she went too far." Amanda once worked for Alicia Reece in her Council office, and as late as April 2001 was an ok person who believed in something other than making an ill-fated name for herself by conjoining with Nate.

At least she wised up and is young enough to redeem herself. Nate, on the other hand, should probably apologize to the Fruit of Islam (he crapped on them on his blog) so he can once again run with them in the mornings so he can stay in shape to avoid future eviction notices; at least two served in the past year assuming both squatters named Nate Livingston so served are the same.

Monica williams is dirty.
Joy Rolland is dirty.
And Nate Livingston has every right in the world to defend himself and speak out if being attacked. Especially if the attacks are on his children.

The article you refer to is the final chapter in Nate Livingston's hate-filled existence. He wrote a series of articles damning the mother of his two daughters in the most scatological terms possible as well as publicizing every private detail of their relationship he could remember and seemingly some he couldn't remember; that is, he made up.

The irony, of course, is as we see with the sign Ms. Amanda Mayes is carrying in the photo, she is Nate's mirror image -- as hate-filled and irrational as he.

In other words, it should have been a match made in Heaven ... or hell.

But like everything else in his dysfunctional life, he couldn't make it work. After filling Ms. Mayes' head with all his hate and bile, he dumped her and became a dead-beat dad.

Although he may not have become a deadbeat dad, I just make that assumption because everything else in his life is so typical I assume he's a deadbeat dad too.

The tragedy, of course, is had Ms. Mayes met a decent human being when she first came to Cincinnati, she'd have got married and built a fine career and happy family.

Judging from her private email Nate so un-ethically published, she's an excellent diarist with a clever narrative voice.

She could have gone far with her writing hadn't Nate broke her spirit and saddled her with his two bastards.

Axinar, I'm sure it's within my constitutional rights to bear a permasmirk on my face without blogs discussing either that or my genetic composition.

Not that it stops me from discussing someone elses ancestry. I'm sure Ms Mayes has Jewish ancestry.
