Malaysian Police Firing On Ethnic Indians With Tear Gas And Water Cannons
Tensions continue to escalate as a demonstration by the Hindu Rights Action Force (HINDRAF) was fired upon by the Malaysian police with tear gas and water cannons loaded with chemical irritants.No word that I can see on reports of injuries.
The Internal Security Minister is threatening to invoke the Internal Security Act as a last resort.
What is involved with this I have NO idea but hopefully Crankshaft and Ariel can fill us in.

No word yet on whether some sort of equivalent of the Montgomery Bus Boycott is in the works.
Obviously anything along the lines of a "March On Washington" isn't going to be terribly easy with the Malays insisting on initiating chemical warfare against the Indians ...

The Malaysian communist dictatorship-government has 2 main ways of scaring the public into silence.
1) Internal Security Act - brought up whenever anyone questions government actions.
2) Racial riots - another infamous May 13 incident where the Malays went on an emotionally chatged killing rampage because they didn't win majority seats.
Today, the government monopolised media, The Star and The New Straits Times (which under normal circumstances, I disdain to read) gives such a tilt to make it sound that the Indians (the nerve of them) are getting out of hand, demanding things that are not due, being ungrateful.
The government media is inciting Malays to start another racial riot so they can blame the Indians for it.
The common notion among Malays is that they're much better off in Malaysia than in India, where apparently they're dying by the droves due to famine or some reason.
