I only have one question:
How come every time something like this comes out the reaction is "boycott eggs" and not "execute the rotten bastards who run places like this"?

Or, you could try what I did for a few years: humanely raise chickens in your own backyard and eat those eggs!
Why boycott eggs? Because almost all egg farms are run like this!
